Meeting aged care expansion needs at Bundaleer Lodge

Nessecom News release August 2016.

THE completion of a $12 million project to expand Bundaleer Lodge Nursing Home brings the facility now up to 90 beds. The original 40-bed wing is also to be renovated, bringing even more single bed rooms online.

Nessecom was a critical choice for the project as the system was capable of integrating the older legacy nurse call system and new 48-bed wing during the staging of the long term four-year project. With the completion of the new wing the old wing is now set to be upgraded giving a state of the art nurse call system across the facility.

Other important features were required for the facility to bring better care to its residents, including a high level interface to the fire panel, activity boards for nursing staff, dect phone interfacing and call logging.

Call logging was an important feature for the project, as modern facilities need the statistical data for ensuring correct staffing during busy times along with making tangible KPI’s for staff. Nessecom was able to make this process easy for management and nursing staff with the inclusion of the auto reporting feature. Nessecom auto reporting allows tailored reports to be automatically emailed out to management and nursing staff.

Bundaleer Lodge is now well placed to roll out the Nessecom solution to additional sites in their network.
