Remote monitoring included in rural SA Hospital

Nessecom integration at Maitland Hospital Renal ward, in South Australia

Nessecom News release January 2016.

Remote monitoring of critical systems installed into rural South Australia Hospital expansion

The completion of the new renal dialysis wing to Maitland Hospital brings a new age of IP nurse call and messaging to Maitland Hospital.

The Nessecom IP system was not only able to exceed the requirements for the new renal dialysis wing but was able to be used to upgrade the existing end-of- life nurse call headend economically by retaining the facility’s existing cabling infrastructure, displays and call points.

Crucial to the install and upgrade was the installation of the Nessecom remote monitoring module. With the Hospital located in remote SA it was critical to provide the Hospital with reliable 24/7 maintenance and support. The Nessecom remote monitoring module allows same day service, software upgrades, fault monitoring, isolations and repairs to remote hospitals.

The installation also included Nessecom 32” activity boards at nurse’s stations, messaging to staff through the existing Kirk dect system, and auto call logging reports.
